Role Overview

The Hostess position at St. Regis Hotels & Resorts in Doha is a full-time, non-management role within the food and beverage and culinary area. The role focuses on welcoming guests, organizing seating, and helping ensure the dining area runs smoothly and safely.

What You’ll Do

• Welcome arriving guests, note the size of each party, and seat them at clean, available tables.
• Set up seating by pulling out chairs and placing clean, current menus in front of guests.
• Escort guests through the dining space and provide assistance whenever needed.
• Rearrange tables, chairs, and place settings for group needs, including guests requiring special arrangements.
• Make sure each table has the correct standard setup, including napkins, clean silverware, and other required items.
• Check that menus are presentable, current, clean, and free of wrinkles.
• Keep the work area tidy throughout the day by following clean-as-you-go practices.
• Watch dining areas for open seating, service flow, safety, and guest wellbeing.
• Follow company policies, safety rules, and security procedures, and report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to a manager.
• Complete required safety training and certifications as directed.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and protect confidential company information and assets.
• Greet every guest in line with company standards, communicate clearly and professionally, answer phones politely, and work cooperatively with colleagues.
• Support team objectives, respond appropriately to employee concerns, uphold quality standards, and handle other duties assigned by supervisors.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position based in West Bay, Doha, Qatar. The role is not remote. The job may require standing, sitting, or walking for long periods and moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or placing items up to 10 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred. The role does not require prior related work experience, supervisory experience, or any license or certification.
