Housekeeper

Role overview

Springhill Suites is seeking a Housekeeper to support the upkeep of private residences and commercial properties. This role focuses on cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining spaces to a high standard. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, can also collaborate when needed, and brings a professional, friendly, and energetic attitude to the job.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine cleaning and sanitation tasks across the assigned property.
• Disinfect bathrooms, kitchens, and dining areas.
• Wash dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, and pans.
• Dust and wipe down surfaces in rooms, and clean mirrors.
• Vacuum and clean floors, rugs, furniture, and drapes.
• Remove used linens and replace them with fresh bedspreads, blankets, and linens.
• Launder towels, washcloths, and hand towels, then restock them in bathrooms.
• Fold laundry and put items away when needed.
• Collect and empty trash bins.
• Load the washer and dryer as required.
• Report maintenance issues when equipment or fixtures are not functioning properly.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Good command of reading, writing, and spoken English.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Must be able to remain on your feet for extended periods and perform repeated bending, reaching, lifting, and pulling.

This position is based in Amarillo, Texas.

The role is best suited to someone with prior housekeeping experience and a dependable, hands-on work style.
