Role Summary

Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, or another manager authorized by the leadership team, you will oversee room attendants, house porters, and linen porters to keep guest rooms, corridors, fire exits, stairways, and service areas clean, orderly, appealing, and properly maintained across designated floors and sections. You will also make sure staff and guest concerns are handled quickly and effectively, and you will step in as the manager’s representative when required.

Key Duties

  • Direct the distribution of work to room attendants and porters so the area is fully covered.
  • Allocate special tasks to room attendants and house porters on the assigned floors.
  • Review the room-status system regularly throughout the day for current updates.
  • Inspect the assigned quota of guest rooms and ensure they meet the hotel’s required standard.
  • Notify the housekeeping office about rooms that do not need servicing, are marked Do Not Disturb, or are double-locked by afternoon, and record them during handover.

  • Support colleagues with similar or related tasks whenever needed.
  • Complete projects and assignments given by the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Prepare timesheets, duty rosters, and holiday schedules as needed, aligned with business requirements.
  • Prepare purchase orders through Fourth Hospitality when required.
  • Carry out any other reasonable tasks, projects, or requests from the department head or hotel management.
