Role overview
The position is a broad HR role that also touches health and safety, payroll, and general administration. You will help keep daily HR processes running smoothly while ensuring that practices stay aligned with Irish employment law and internal procedures. The role also includes supporting employee engagement and wider operational tasks.
Key duties
- Oversee employee files, employment contracts, and HR database administration.
- Support hiring activity, new starter induction, and performance management workflows.
- Assist with employee relations matters and ensure HR practices remain compliant.
- Keep health and safety records current, manage systems, and support audits.
- Contribute to accident or incident reviews and help drive safety-related actions.
- Prepare payroll-related input data and respond to payroll queries.
- Arrange training activity and maintain records required for compliance.
- Provide day-to-day administrative support and produce routine reports.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for someone with prior exposure to HR, administration, or compliance-focused work. A solid understanding of employment law and HR good practice is important, and familiarity with workplace health and safety requirements would be an advantage. Payroll administration experience and prior use of HR systems would also be helpful. Strong organisation, clear communication, polished presentation, strong IT ability with particular confidence in Microsoft Excel, and the ability to manage priorities independently are all key.
