Junior Data Analyst (Finance)

Role Overview

Join Snoonu in Lusail, Qatar as a Junior Data Analyst focused on finance. In this role, you will act as the link between the central BI and Engineering teams and the Finance function, helping ensure that operational and transactional Super App data matches financial reporting needs. The position is centered on analyzing large datasets, streamlining finance reporting, and turning data into clear insights that support accurate decision-making and business growth.

What You Will Work On

• Assist with the upkeep, refresh, and automation of weekly and monthly data extracts and finance KPI dashboards, including GMV tracking, revenue burn rate, and unit economics by vertical.
• Work with the Finance team to reconcile transaction data from the Super App warehouse with accounting and billing records so the figures align correctly.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning by querying, organizing, and cleaning historical data sets.
• Develop, improve, and maintain easy-to-use dashboards and visual reports in BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI for finance stakeholders and leadership.
• Handle ad hoc analysis requests related to trends or irregularities, such as delivery cost changes, merchant payout differences, and marketing promo ROI.
• Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product managers to make sure data pipelines capture the right financial fields and attributes.

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or finance-related area such as Data Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Information Systems.
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, including query writing, joins, and aggregation.
• Good command of Excel or Google Sheets, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and data organization.
• Exposure to dashboard building in tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker through projects or hands-on experience.
• A very high level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when reviewing financial figures.
• Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical data in practical business terms.
• Ability to learn quickly, prioritize work, and deliver against deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
• Strong collaboration mindset and a positive, people-first approach to teamwork.

Nice to Have

• Basic understanding of corporate finance topics such as income statements, margins, and accounting fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Python or R for simple data manipulation and scripting, including Pandas.
• Previous internship or academic exposure to e-commerce, food delivery, logistics, or parcel delivery businesses.
