Role Summary

PIF is looking for a proactive Partnerships Manager to lead institutional fundraising, CSR engagement, high-net-worth individual outreach, and strategic partnership development. The position also includes ownership of key events, communication support, and collaborative initiatives. It calls for a strategic, entrepreneurial professional who can build relationships, operate independently, and contribute to growth.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for strengthening PIF’s partnership network, developing fundraising opportunities, and supporting stakeholder-facing initiatives across communications and events.

• Identify, build, and manage relationships with corporates, philanthropic foundations, HNIs, and international donors.
• Draft and execute CSR pitches and grant proposals that align partner priorities with PIF’s mission.
• Create a structured donor-engagement approach covering reporting, regular updates, and stewardship.
• Nurture long-term donor relationships through consistent outreach, networking, and engagement-driven activities.
• Work closely with the communications team to shape strong narratives and proposals for CSR and philanthropy partners.
• Prepare donor-focused materials such as reports, pitch decks, presentations, and newsletters.
• Maintain clear, consistent messaging across PIF’s communications and campaign channels.
• Plan and execute donor and partner events, including policy roundtables, thought-leadership summits, and fundraising gatherings.
• Represent PIF at external platforms, CSR conclaves, and philanthropic networks to build visibility and partnerships.
• Coordinate senior stakeholder interactions, including government-industry discussions and meetings with HNIs.
• Contribute to organisational growth by exploring new fundraising and partnership models.
• Operate effectively in a lean, fast-moving environment while independently driving new initiatives and outcomes.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should hold a master’s degree in Business, Public Policy, Development Studies, Communications, or a related discipline, along with 6–7 years of experience in CSR, partnerships, fundraising, or business development roles. Relevant experience from think tanks, non-profits, consulting, or corporate CSR foundations will be valued. A strong grasp of India’s development and CSR landscape, as well as donor behaviour in philanthropy, is important. The role also requires a demonstrated record of raising funds and managing relationships across HNI, CSR, and institutional donor segments.

Skills and Attributes

Strong writing and verbal communication, persuasive proposal development, presentation creation, stakeholder management, event coordination, organisational discipline, and an entrepreneurial mindset are essential. The position also requires initiative, system-building ability, and the confidence to scale new ideas independently.
