Role overview
Aeris Resources is seeking a full-time permanent Nipper to support underground operations at the Tritton Operation in Nyngan, New South Wales. This position is suited to a dependable, safety-conscious individual with hands-on mining experience and a valid driver’s licence.
About the operation
Tritton Copper Operations is a long-life copper mine near Nyngan and Cobar in central New South Wales. Production began in 2005, and the site is fully owned and operated by Aeris Resources. It plays a key role in the company’s copper output and is moving toward a hub-and-spoke mining model, where ore from multiple sources is hauled to a central mill for processing.
What you will do
In this role, you will help keep underground work running safely and efficiently. The position involves practical support duties, equipment care, safety checks, and general maintenance tasks across the site.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out service duties and support peripheral underground tasks.
- Operate ancillary plant as required.
- Perform workplace safety inspections and service checks.
- Assist with basic maintenance and upkeep of equipment.
- Work in line with health, safety and environment policies, systems and procedures.
- Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to safe team operations.
What you need
- Prior experience working as a Nipper in underground hard rock mining.
- A current manual C Class driver’s licence.
- Strong overall work performance and a cooperative team mindset.
- A committed approach to health, safety and environment practices.
- Ability to handle routine support work, inspections and equipment care tasks.
