Job Summary

The Planner will support the Senior Planner and Planning Manager in analyzing multi-dimensional plans, including sales trends, gross margin, and inventory. This role involves collaborating with Buying and Store teams to optimize retail profits through effective range planning and trading across the region. Key responsibilities include managing delivery, allocation, and replenishment to align with planned ranges and allocations, thereby identifying opportunities to enhance sales and optimize stock levels.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the availability of appropriate products and stock in the correct quantities, at the right locations, and at the opportune times.
  • Monitor the performance of product lines and categories, maintaining optimal stock levels through strategic store transfers, effective replenishment, and managing sell-through rates by product category.
  • Oversee the planning of collection clearances and end-of-season markdowns to achieve target sell-through rates while meeting business margin expectations.
  • Generate comprehensive hindsight reports, including weekly sales, stock, and intake summaries (WSSI), and in-season sales, markdown, intake, and stock forecasts. Communicate any identified risks to profit or stock targets to senior management.
  • Analyze customer profiles, market trends, and preferences to inform product and stock decisions that align with customer expectations.
  • Cultivate and maintain robust inter-departmental and intra-departmental relationships to facilitate open information exchange and ensure timely follow-up actions.
  • Track warehouse service levels and collaborate with the Logistics team to monitor shipments and ensure the punctual delivery of stock transfers.

Requirements

  • A graduate degree in a relevant field, preferably in business or finance.
  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in a Planner role.
  • Mandatory experience within the retail sector.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
