Primary Teacher

Overview

This role is for a Primary Teacher at Witherslack Group, working at Felden Hall School in Hemel Hempstead. The salary is up to £55,277, and the package includes strong benefits. The school is due to open in Spring 2026 and will be a purpose-built, modern specialist setting designed for up to 115 pupils aged 5 to 16.

The school supports children and young people with autism, social, emotional and mental health needs, and wider special educational needs. The post sits at the heart of the new school’s development, with a focus on giving every pupil an exceptional learning experience where individual progress and care are central.

What the role is about

The position is centred on helping pupils make meaningful progress, even when that progress comes in very small steps. The role involves working with children and young people who may find lessons challenging, while supporting their learning, confidence, and self-esteem.

You will need resilience, commitment, and a positive approach, because the work can be demanding. In return, you’ll be supported by psychologists, teaching assistants, therapy colleagues, and well-equipped school environments that are designed to help staff and pupils succeed.
