About the Role

Salt is seeking a Procurement Consultant to join a dynamic management firm focused on expanding its operations across ASEAN. The company excels in procurement, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, and operational transformation projects for a diverse range of industries. This position is ideal for consultants with a strong commercial acumen, blending sharp analytical and operational skills with a practical, hands-on consulting methodology. You will collaborate closely with clients to address intricate business issues, enhance operational efficiency, and achieve tangible results. This is a contract position based in Singapore, offering a collaborative, agile, and entrepreneurial setting that provides exposure to comprehensive consulting engagements rather than narrowly focused tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead and execute consulting projects encompassing procurement, supply chain, logistics, manufacturing, and operational transformation.
• Oversee project workstreams, manage timelines, ensure timely delivery of outputs, and engage effectively with stakeholders.
• Perform in-depth data analysis, conduct market research, evaluate suppliers, manage Request for Quotations (RFQs), and conduct operational assessments.
• Develop client-ready presentations, formulate strategic recommendations, and build compelling business cases.
• Present findings and strategic advice with clarity and confidence to clients and senior management.
• Support procurement transformation efforts, including developing sourcing strategies, assessing suppliers, and optimizing warehousing and logistics operations.
• Contribute to project definition, solution design, and the preparation of proposals.
• Foster collaboration with consultants, analysts, and regional teams across various markets.
• Provide mentorship to junior consultants and analysts as needed.
• Cultivate strong client relationships through practical, results-oriented consulting services.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in managing project execution and client interactions for transformation and sourcing initiatives.
• Capacity to juggle multiple priorities within demanding project timelines.
• Possess a commercial mindset and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Exhibit curiosity, adaptability, and comfort working in ambiguous situations.
• Ability to work autonomously while also being a strong team collaborator.
• Experience in both procurement and supply chain projects is essential.
• Familiarity with advancements in automation, AI, or digital transformation is advantageous.
