Role overview
Modea is hiring a Quality Analyst II to act as a consulting-focused quality specialist for healthcare digital products. In this role, you will examine product integrity, connect technical details with end-user impact, and help safeguard the experience through careful investigation and strong analytical judgment.
The team is seeking someone who goes beyond routine verification to partner with clients and project teams, uncover hidden defects, and reduce delivery risk. You should be naturally curious, comfortable digging into complex issues, and committed to upholding quality standards across the full development lifecycle. A strong interest in modern testing approaches, including AI-supported workflows and automation, is also important.
What you will do
You will review products from both a technical and user-centered perspective, helping teams understand where quality issues may surface and what actions can improve outcomes. The work blends exploratory testing, collaboration, documentation, and leadership of quality practices throughout development and release.
Investigative consulting and strategy
- Study products in depth to spot quality risks and advise clients and internal teams on corrective actions and improvement opportunities.
- Use exploratory testing and analytical reasoning to uncover defects across browsers and devices, with attention to the underlying cause rather than only visible symptoms.
- Act as the voice of the end user by confirming that functionality, design, and ADA accessibility expectations remain intact.
Technical execution and performance
- Build and run performance tests in JMeter to check behavior under load, and perform API validation to ensure reliable data exchange between services.
- Assess web applications for basic security weaknesses and quality concerns.
- Develop and maintain automated test coverage with Mabl and Appium, while using AI-enabled tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Documentation and delivery
- Write clear, repeatable defect reports and technical guidance that help developers and stakeholders understand issues and next steps.
- Promote quality best practices across the SDLC and confirm that requirements are met from discovery through post-launch.
