About the Role
LENS is building technology aimed at preventing traffic accidents before they occur by spotting hazards in real time. As a Recruiter, you will help shape the team behind that mission and play a direct role in bringing in people who are motivated by high-impact work.
Mission
The company’s goal is to eliminate traffic accidents by identifying risks early and intervening before harm occurs. Its platform analyzes CCTV video from highways and helps public safety agencies and transportation departments respond quickly to dangerous situations such as disabled vehicles, stalled big rigs, and pedestrians on freeways.
Platform & Product
LENS Detect reviews live CCTV streams from highways to find hazards before they become accidents. When the system flags an issue, a dispatcher checks the alert on the dashboard and then sends an officer to the location to help. The intended outcome is to stop crashes from happening or to save lives when people are in danger.
Role Overview
In this position, you will support a recruiting function designed for scale, with a focus on hiring people who align with the company’s mission, values, and culture. You will work closely with hiring teams and leadership to build a thoughtful, efficient, and repeatable hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Find and attract candidates who are genuinely motivated by the mission and likely to contribute positively to the team’s culture and growth.
- Own the candidate experience from start to finish, including helping draft job descriptions, designing interview steps and panels, coordinating interviews, keeping records current, and managing hiring logistics.
- Strengthen the recruiting operation by building processes and systems that help the company hire strong talent consistently and at the right time.
- Partner with hiring managers and senior leaders to clarify role requirements, shape sourcing plans, and guide evaluation criteria.

They are comfortable creating new approaches when existing playbooks do not fit, and they view recruiting as a scalable system that improves over time.

Requirements
- At least 5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with substantial exposure to technical hiring.
- Experience as an early recruiting hire or in building recruiting processes at a startup.
- Proven success hiring both technical and non-technical talent.
- Direct experience working with hiring managers and senior leadership.
- Strong sourcing ability and comfort engaging passive candidates proactively.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to think strategically while staying hands-on in execution.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems and recruiting software; Ashby and Rippling are preferred.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving startup environment with shifting priorities.
- Familiarity with structured interviewing and interviewer training.
- Experience supporting hiring through periods of rapid growth and scale.
