Senior Director, Procurement

The hiring company is a fintech organization with annual revenue below $100M and headquarters in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. It focuses on improving payment experiences for businesses, municipalities, and consumers across thousands of locations throughout North America. The business was founded in Minneapolis with the goal of helping companies modernize operations by moving to cashless transactions while still supporting customers who pay with cash. Its cash-to-card kiosks were developed to let businesses handle cash-paying customers more smoothly while reducing the expense and complexity of managing physical cash.

Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site leadership position based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. The Senior Director, Procurement is a newly created role responsible for shaping procurement direction, strengthening vendor relationships, and finding opportunities to reduce costs. The role will cover both direct and indirect spend, supplier management, contract work, and procurement initiatives designed to improve supply chain efficiency and overall operating performance.

The position strongly prefers experience in the payments sector, including exposure to card networks, processors, issuing economics, and banking partnerships. That background is preferred but not mandatory. This is a leadership role, but it does not include direct reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and guide procurement strategy across the organization.

• Identify and execute cost optimization opportunities.
• Improve supply chain processes and operational efficiency.
• Drive strategic procurement programs and initiatives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to support business goals.

Requirements

• Must be able to live within a commutable distance of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
• At least 10 years of strong experience in contract negotiation, contract management, and procurement.
• At least 10 years of experience in procurement, direct and indirect spend, contract management, or a closely related leadership role.
• Solid knowledge of supply chain management and industry best practices.
• Background in project management and collaboration across functions.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• MBA preferred.
• Experience with enterprise tools such as SAP or Ariba is helpful, especially if you have implemented a scaled-right solution for an organization with revenue under $100M.

Compensation

The salary range depends on the candidate’s qualifications and is expected to be in the market range of $160,000 to $200,000.
