Role Overview
Honeywell is looking for an experienced logistics operations professional to support invoice governance and vendor coordination within transportation and logistics processes. The position focuses on resolving disputed or overdue freight-related invoices, improving operational accuracy, and helping drive stronger performance across the logistics network in Bengaluru East, Karnataka.
Key Responsibilities
- Review disputed and overdue transportation and logistics invoices, identify the underlying reasons, and drive each case through to closure.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, 3PL partners, and internal stakeholders to quickly answer and resolve billing and payment questions.
- Prepare weekly status reports on invoice progress, highlight insights, and communicate updates to vendors and internal teams.
- Study recurring invoice issues and recommend process improvements that reduce errors and shorten turnaround times.
- Support the logistics operations team in day-to-day activities and help maintain alignment with operational targets.
- Track 3PL vendor performance and confirm adherence to agreed service levels and operational requirements.
Success Measures
- Maintain zero overdue invoices and close invoice disputes within 14 days.
- Ensure freight bills are charged at contracted or negotiated rates and are processed without unnecessary delay.
- Promote a mindset of ongoing improvement across the operations function.
- Strengthen efficiency and overall effectiveness across logistics workflows.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
- 8 to 12 years of experience in logistics operations.
- Hands-on exposure to invoice investigation, dispute resolution, and process improvement work.
- Experience in a team support, lead, or supervisory capacity with the ability to guide others.
- Good understanding of freight documentation, freight invoices, Statements of Account (SOAs), and logistics terminology.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability for tracing root causes of payment delays and invoice mismatches.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and build agreement across different levels of the organization.
- Comfort working in complex, global operational environments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, relational databases, and ERP platforms such as SAP.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills in English.
- Self-driven, curious, and proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing solutions.
