General Medicine is a nationwide, technology-driven telemedicine organization created by the team that previously built PillPack, which was later acquired by Amazon Health. The company is focused on changing how primary care and specialty care are delivered at scale.
Role Overview
This position is for a Senior Technical Recruiter who will drive end-to-end hiring across the technical side of the business during a period of fast expansion. The role centers on technical hiring for engineering, product, and data functions, while also extending to related areas such as design and product marketing.
This is a highly hands-on role with significant ownership of requisitions, sourcing pipelines, and hiring results. You will work closely with engineering and product leaders to identify, engage, and secure strong technical candidates.
The ideal candidate is highly proactive, comfortable using AI-native recruiting methods, and energized by a fast-paced startup setting with limited structure. Success in this role requires building talent pipelines intentionally rather than depending on inbound applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete recruiting process from initial intake through offer stage, with an emphasis on technical positions such as engineering, product, data, and analytics, as well as adjacent functions like design and product marketing.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to clarify the ideal candidate profile, prioritize needs, and agree on hiring timelines.
- Create and execute AI-driven sourcing approaches to reach and engage large numbers of strong technical candidates.
- Keep pipelines current in Ashby with precise tracking, prompt follow-up, and clear communication throughout the process.
- Run screening conversations to evaluate both technical alignment and candidate motivation, and coordinate structured interview panels.
- Protect a strong candidate experience by being transparent, responsive, and consistent from start to finish.
- Monitor recruiting metrics such as pipeline quality, time-to-fill, and sourcing performance, then refine the process as hiring demand increases.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience handling full-cycle recruiting, including a minimum of 2 years focused on technical hiring across engineering, product, or data roles.
- Proven ability to source proactively and build pipelines without relying mainly on inbound interest.
- Hands-on experience as an AI-native recruiter, including use of Juicebox.ai and a modern recruiting CRM.
- Background recruiting for startup or high-growth companies.
- Exposure to hiring in the Bay Area and/or Boston is strongly preferred.
- Ability to juggle several open roles while remaining organized and responsive.
- Strong self-management, accountability, and comfort working in ambiguous, low-structure environments.
- Professional, clear communication with both candidates and internal teams.
