This position is a full-time fixed-term opportunity for 18 months, based in Tasmania, with a planned start date of 27 July 2026.
About the opportunity
The Site Engineer will provide technical support to the project team on site. Working alongside the Engineering Lead, the role focuses on design coordination, site inspections, technical compliance, and management of trade package reviews. You will also help keep inspection documentation accurate and up to date, while supporting the team to ensure construction activities align with design documents and quality standards.
What you will do
- Support the Engineering Lead with on-site design coordination and technical matters.
- Carry out or assist with inspections and maintain related records.
- Review technical details for specific trade packages.
- Help ensure construction work matches approved design documentation and quality requirements.
- Track and organise inspection records, RFIs, and project documentation.
What we are looking for
We are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in site engineering or construction project engineering, along with a degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Construction Management. Familiarity with inspection and test plans, quality management systems, and construction documentation standards is important. You should also be comfortable using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar drafting and document management tools. A current Construction Induction Card (White Card) is required.
