The Role

Akash Homes is looking for a Site Superintendent to support residential construction projects in Calgary, Alberta. This position is responsible for guiding homes from excavation through to possession, while coordinating trades, suppliers, and inspections to keep work safe, efficient, and aligned with quality expectations.

Role Overview

As the Calgary market continues to grow, this position plays an important part in delivering homes on schedule and to the required standard. The Site Superintendent will oversee multiple sites, manage coordination across teams, and help ensure each build moves smoothly from start to finish. The role also offers the chance to build leadership capability and deepen construction expertise while contributing to the company’s expansion.

First 6 Months Priorities

• Handle active builds across Calgary communities while meeting schedule targets and quality expectations.
• Build dependable working relationships with Calgary-based trades and suppliers.
• Look for ways to strengthen site coordination and improve communication between field and office teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire residential construction cycle, beginning with excavation and ending with possession.
• Schedule and coordinate trades, inspections, and material suppliers so projects stay on track.
• Make sure all worksites comply with the Alberta Building Code and occupational health and safety requirements.
• Carry out site inspections, identify issues early, and correct deficiencies before they escalate.
• Lead homeowner walkthroughs and coordinate seasonal or after-possession repair work.
• Work closely with Drafting, Estimating, Sales, and Customer Experience teams to support smooth project delivery.
• Keep all assigned sites clean, organized, safe, and professional in appearance.

Experience and Qualifications

• Background supervising residential construction sites.
• Solid knowledge of the Alberta Building Code and residential homebuilding practices.
• Ability to oversee several construction projects at the same time.
• Strong verbal and relationship-building skills for working with trades, inspectors, and internal teams.
• Practical problem-solving ability and a quick response approach when issues arise on site.
• Valid driver’s licence and dependable vehicle for travel between Calgary job sites.
• Construction Management or Building Science education will be considered an advantage.
• Experience with construction scheduling or project management tools such as BuildPro will also be viewed as an asset.
