Role Overview
This opportunity is with a respected, long-standing, mid-sized firm of accountants and tax advisers in Dublin. The position sits within the tax team, reports directly to the Tax Partner, and includes responsibility for managing a small number of direct reports. The work combines advisory and compliance services for a diverse client portfolio across multiple tax areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a portfolio of SME clients, handling both compliance work and advisory assignments.
- Develop strong relationships with current clients while also expanding your own external professional network.
- Support the leadership of the tax team, including monitoring work in progress, invoicing, and collection of fees.
- Collaborate with Partners, Directors, and Managers on tax consultancy projects.
- Work with colleagues across other departments to spot tax planning opportunities for existing clients.
Candidate Profile
- You should be a qualified tax specialist and/or a qualified accountant.
- Strong practical knowledge across all major tax heads is required.
- Previous management experience at assistant manager or manager level is important.
- You must be able to guide, support, and develop junior team members.
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills are essential.
