This Assistant Department Manager position at Woolworths Group is a stepping stone into retail leadership. Based in Griffith, New South Wales, the role gives you the chance to build practical management capability while supporting the smooth running of the department and helping customers enjoy a better shopping experience.

Work pattern

The roster shown for this role follows a four-day working pattern:

• Tuesday: 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• Wednesday: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM

What the job involves

• Helping lead the department’s day-to-day activities and working closely with colleagues across the store.
• Supporting a strong customer experience by modelling the Everyday ACTs approach: Acknowledge, Care and Thank.
• Putting safety first by following the correct in-store processes for both team members and customers.
• Learning how the department operates so you can provide reliable daily support to the team.
• Collaborating well with others to achieve positive outcomes for the store.
• Growing awareness of your own leadership style and building the capability to become a future leader.
• Contributing to a seamless shopping experience by working across store areas as needed.
