Assistant Outlet Manager

Role Overview

This position supports the smooth running of an outlet within the food and beverage operation in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on delivering consistent guest service, coordinating the team, maintaining operational standards, and helping the outlet meet safety, cleanliness, and quality expectations.

Key Duties

• Coordinate with the team so service is delivered efficiently and guest needs are met.
• Check staff appearance and grooming standards and correct any gaps.
• Handle opening and closing routines, including preparing supplies and equipment, cleaning work areas, and securing the outlet.
• Review storage spaces for proper organization, FIFO usage, and cleanliness.
• Carry out inventory checks and raise requisitions for required supplies.
• Track dining room readiness, seating availability, guest safety, and overall comfort.
• Submit work requests for equipment or maintenance issues that need attention.
• Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, coaching, performance review, counseling, and discipline processes.
• Act as a role model and the first contact for fair treatment and open door concerns.
• Follow all company, safety, and security procedures, including reporting incidents and completing required training.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and protect confidential information and company property.
• Greet guests warmly, recognize service needs early, assist guests with disabilities, and show appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests.
• Build strong working relationships and contribute to shared goals.
• Support quality, productivity, safety, and cost-saving improvements.
• Perform other reasonable tasks assigned by supervisors.

Work Requirements

This role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for long periods, work an entire shift, read different formats of information, visually inspect tools and equipment, and move through narrow, confined, or elevated areas. The job may involve climbing stairs or ramps, bending, stooping, reaching, and handling objects of varying sizes and weights. Physical tasks can include lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 50 pounds without assistance.

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED is preferred. Candidates should bring at least 2 years of relevant work experience and a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory capacity. No license or certification is required.
