Associate Account Executive

About the Role

Helmut Lang, a brand launched in 1986 and later expanded globally under Fast Retailing in 2006, is looking for an Associate Account Executive to help manage and grow its department store wholesale business across both menswear and womenswear. This position suits a highly organized wholesale professional who wants to strengthen account management capabilities while collaborating across teams to support commercial growth.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in overseeing key department store accounts across men’s and women’s collections.
• Support seasonal selling activities such as market appointments, line presentations, and order placement.
• Contribute to meeting seasonal sales goals and performance targets.
• Keep order entry, revisions, and follow-ups accurate and up to date throughout each selling season.
• Work with senior leaders to spot growth opportunities in current accounts and potential new department store partners.
• Review sales trends, inventory positions, and sell-through data to shape recommendations.
• Help develop account plans covering assortments, reorder activity, and delivery timing.
• Coordinate with merchandising, planning, production, logistics, and finance to support smooth and timely deliveries.
• Assist with showroom activity during market periods and other important selling windows.
• Maintain account files, seasonal recap materials, and sales reports.
• Monitor deliveries, resolve order-related issues, and help troubleshoot discrepancies.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 2 years of experience in wholesale sales or account management, ideally in contemporary or designer fashion.
• Solid understanding of the department store wholesale model and retail partner dynamics.
• Prior exposure to both men’s and women’s product lines is preferred.
• Strong organizational habits with careful attention to detail and strong follow-through.
• Comfort analyzing data and working with Excel and sales reporting tools.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Ability to juggle multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Genuine interest in fashion and alignment with the Helmut Lang brand vision.

Compensation and Additional Information

The annual salary range for this role is $65,000 to $70,000. Final compensation may vary depending on factors such as overall experience, directly relevant experience, education, certifications, applicable skills, expertise, and the position location.
