The position is focused on supporting data-backed decisions, improving financial workflows, and helping drive transformation across finance operations.What you'll doWork with stakeholders from areas such as Regulatory Reporting, MI/CMA, Treasury, and Tax to understand and capture business needs.Translate requirements into structured documentation, including functional and non-functional specifications, BRDs, user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.Study existing processes with BPMN diagrams or flowcharts and highlight gaps, delays, and inefficiencies.Design improved future-state processes and maintain supporting SOPs and process records.Set up data quality checks, validation rules, dictionaries, and metadata documentation.Carry out data reconciliation and investigate the causes of mismatches or inconsistencies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, run workshops, and present findings and recommendations to finance leadership.Train users on new systems, processes, and reporting tools while providing ongoing support and troubleshooting.Contribute to finance transformation projects by building plans, timelines, resource allocations, and tracking budgets, milestones, risks, and issues.Report progress to steering committees and help ensure delivery remains on track.What the role requires3 to 5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst, ideally in the finance domain.A bachelor’s degree in Finance, an MBA, or an equivalent professional qualification.Strong command of Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and Macros.Good working knowledge of SQL for extracting and analyzing data.Experience using BI and visualization platforms such as Tableau and Power BI.Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability.Clear communication and solid stakeholder management skills.Careful attention to detail and a disciplined documentation approach.Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.Understanding of financial processes and reporting.EligibilityCandidates with 3 to 5 years of relevant business analysis experience, preferably in finance, and a bachelor’s degree in Finance, an MBA, or a comparable professional certification are suitable for this role.Additional informationThe role is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.
