Business Analyst

Role Summary

The Business Analyst will partner with Local District Social Services teams, key stakeholders, and the ITS project group to define, refine, and document requirements for moving member servers into the New York State Data Center.

Key Duties

• Collaborate with LDSS teams to complete the Data Collection Tool.
• Share data-related needs and expectations with ITS personnel.
• Check that the recommended solution addresses business needs effectively.
• Ensure the solution is acceptable to OTDA ISO and Legal Affairs.
• Confirm alignment with ITS Data Center service standards.
• Prepare CISO SSDLC documentation and coordinate ISO review steps.
• Move forward migration and correction activities for end-of-life servers within CRRP scope.
• Shape and manage the business analysis approach and day-to-day BA activities.
• Coach state staff and newly assigned business analysts.
• Track objectives, coordinate priorities, and keep work moving toward project goals.

Mandatory Background

This opportunity calls for more than 10 years of experience in business analysis or a related domain, with the ability to assess a business or organizational area and document processes, systems, and business models, including their fit with technology, while producing clear solution deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• This position requires full-time onsite presence.
• At least 60 months of experience evaluating and documenting business requirements for integration with enterprise data center services.
• At least 60 months of experience producing system documentation, including data flow diagrams.
• At least 60 months of experience reviewing project tasks and improving workflow efficiency.
• At least 60 months of experience using a web-based ticketing platform to raise work requests.
• At least 60 months of experience working on your own while also guiding and training team members.
