Job Summary
The Civil Inspector will be accountable for checking and supervising civil construction work on Oil & Gas projects. The focus of the role is to confirm that activities are carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, relevant codes, and company requirements, while also maintaining quality, safety, and schedule compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and inspect civil works such as early-stage works, concrete activities, road construction, and compaction.
- Verify that site execution matches the approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards.
- Carry out inspections of civil materials and work performed, including both construction and source inspections.
- Observe contractor performance and monitor day-to-day site execution.
- Detect, document, and follow through on non-conformances along with corrective actions.
- Work with project teams and QA/QC personnel to plan and schedule inspections.
- Draft inspection findings and keep all quality-related records and documents up to date.
- Make sure site activities comply with HSE requirements.
Mandatory Requirements
- A Diploma in Civil Engineering discipline is required.
- Applicants should have 5 to 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas sector, with exposure to construction and source inspection.
- Hands-on experience is needed in early civil works, concrete work, road work, and compaction.
- Strong written and spoken English communication skills are necessary.
- The role requires the ability to work 10 hours per day, 6 days a week.
