Role overview
Inizio Engage partners with a major biotechnology company across commercial, patient solutions, and medical affairs functions. The organization is hiring a Clinical Educator to provide disease-state education and clinical support to selected healthcare professionals and office personnel in primary care and specialist settings.
The role focuses on sharing education through approved resources, staying within program requirements, and following all compliance expectations set by the client and Inizio leadership.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver detailed education on the condition area and related management approaches to healthcare providers.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and stakeholders by using approved educational materials.
- Work strictly within legal, regulatory, compliance, and company standards in all discussions, materials, and field activity.
- Operate within the boundaries and instructions established by the client and field partners.
- Complete mandatory training, assessments, and onboarding requirements within the required deadlines.
- Keep accurate daily records of office visits, interactions, and reporting tasks.
- Log time and expenses using the approved company systems.
- Maintain any professional registration or licensure required by the company and state law.
- Attend requested local and national meetings or conferences to stay current and share best practices.
- Care for client and company equipment and materials according to instructions.
- Follow company policy, the code of conduct, and external industry rules at all times.
- Be reachable during working hours to address questions and carry out duties.
- Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license and promptly report any violations or penalty points.
- Manage the assigned territory effectively and travel as needed, including overnight trips.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Important role boundaries
Clinical Educators in this role do not provide nursing services, medical advice, treatment advice, or product promotion.
Required background
- Must be a qualified healthcare professional with an active state license; respiratory therapist or registered nurse is preferred.
- Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, BSN, or comparable work experience is required.
- At least 3 years of experience in a specific disease area or related specialty is needed; respiratory experience is preferred.
- Prior experience as a clinical educator or in sales within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sector is preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation abilities are essential.
- Comfort presenting to physicians and varied office staff is required.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and manage priorities.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple responsibilities and territory demands.
- A proactive, self-driven approach with strong personal motivation.
- Ongoing professional development and a commitment to keeping clinical knowledge current.
- Willingness to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays, and residence within the assigned territory.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and use standard office equipment.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this position is $88,000 to $163,000 per year. Final pay will depend on factors such as experience, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
