Role Overview
This position is part of the Food & Beverage and Culinary team in Doha, Qatar. It is a full-time, non-management role based onsite in West Bay, Zone 61. The role focuses on supporting kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cooking food to required standards, maintaining hygiene, and assisting with station setup and cleanup.
Key Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing as required.
- Cook dishes in line with recipes, quality benchmarks, presentation expectations, and food preparation checklists.
- Handle cold food preparation as needed.
- Use kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely and correctly.
- Check food while it is being prepared to confirm it is properly cooked and meets standards.
- Keep an eye on food quality throughout preparation and service.
- Set up the work area before service and dismantle it after completion.
- Serve food in the correct portions and use appropriate receptacles.
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.
- Verify that food and appliance temperatures are correct and safe.
- Carry out additional reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.

- Report maintenance issues, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management without delay.
- Complete required safety training and certifications.

Physical Requirements
- Be able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods or for the full shift.
- Be able to bend, twist, pull, stoop, and reach above and below the knees.
- Be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants should ideally have a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related work experience. No supervisory background or special license/certification is required.
