About the role
This position sits within a fast-moving, high-performance environment where curiosity, initiative, and a growth-oriented mindset are valued. The role is designed for someone who wants to build broad capability, contribute to meaningful work, and develop through strong mentorship, feedback, and continuous learning.
Based in Riyadh, you will be part of the MEO office cluster and aligned with the global firm Security team. The mission of the team is to help exceptional people create impact safely by drawing on global expertise, independent viewpoints, readiness, and effective response capabilities.
What you will do
You will take ownership of monitoring and reinforcing baseline security standards across the region. The role involves reviewing threats and hazards that could affect the firm and making sure that the right protections are in place and working across offices, client locations, travel movement, and accommodation settings.
You will perform regular control checks, monitor compliance with security standards, and drive follow-up on any gaps until remediation is completed. You will also keep risk and safeguard information current in the firm’s security technology platforms so that the status of protections remains accurate and visible.
Another important part of the role is incident readiness. You will validate preparedness measures such as response plans, key contacts, and drills, and help support live response efforts when local incidents occur. During major global events, you will assist with coordinated monitoring and response, including handling safety-related outreach from firm members.
As part of the global Security team, you will monitor incidents worldwide, respond promptly to safety questions from firm members, maintain complete and accurate risk data in the global security platform, and contribute to continuous improvement by documenting incidents, building playbooks, and capturing lessons learned.
You will also work closely with consulting teams, HR, Technology, Legal, Office Services, internal Security stakeholders, and external security counterparts. In this capacity, you will turn firm security policies into practical actions and provide clear, actionable guidance that can be implemented effectively on the ground.
The role may require availability beyond standard working hours to support urgent monitoring and incident response needs.
Who you will work with
You will collaborate with a diverse, global community of colleagues across many countries and backgrounds. The environment values independent thinking, ethical behavior, inclusive collaboration, and ideas that improve outcomes.
What the role offers
- Ongoing learning through a structured apprenticeship-style culture with clear, actionable feedback.
- The opportunity to contribute ideas and practical solutions from the first day.
- Exposure to a global network of colleagues with varied perspectives and experience.
- A competitive compensation package based on location, experience, and skills, along with comprehensive benefits for overall well-being.
Qualifications and skills
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in security, risk, international relations, political science, or a closely related discipline. A minimum of 2 years of experience in security, project management, or an analytical role within a corporate setting is preferred.
Experience of living in the Middle East, along with prior work in an international corporation or NGO, is strongly preferred. The role also favors candidates who are comfortable exploring AI tools in a hands-on way, including experimenting with and building custom solutions.
You should be capable of independently investigating risks, threats, and hazards and producing structured risk assessments with clear, practical recommendations. The work often takes place in ambiguous and fast-changing situations, sometimes under significant time pressure, so adaptability is important.
Strong digital and data fluency is important, as is a proactive approach to using technology in day-to-day work. You should bring integrity, accountability, collaboration, inclusiveness, and openness to feedback, along with strong problem-solving ability and the confidence to help lead problem-solving efforts.
Ownership is expected from issue identification through resolution, together with a commitment to continuous learning and development. Performance will be assessed on both delivery and growth.
Business-level English and fluent Arabic are required.
Working style and expectations
The role calls for someone who can operate in a dynamic environment, contribute independently, and stay effective when priorities shift. A practical, values-driven approach is essential, along with the ability to translate policy into consistent operational execution.
Compensation and benefits
A competitive salary is offered, with the package determined by location, experience, and skills. A comprehensive benefits package is also provided to support the employee and family’s overall well-being.
