Role Overview

Axion is hiring a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst who can work with large datasets, turn raw information into business insights, and support data labeling work for NLP and LLM-based products. This role blends traditional analytics with document and text annotation support, so the ideal candidate should be comfortable moving between data analysis, process improvement, and collaboration with technical and business teams.

What You Will Do

• Work with large and complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and usable insights using Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, and Python.
• Partner with Senior Analysts and Lead Analysts to understand client data and shape practical, data-backed recommendations.
• Prepare datasets by cleaning, checking, validating, and organizing them for analysis and modeling.
• Turn analytical findings into clear business stories and strategic recommendations.
• Create simple scripts and automated workflows to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
• Continuously refine internal processes and strengthen analytical operations.
• Support tool setup and product/workflow improvements that make the team more efficient.

What You Need

• A bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, mathematics, computer science, or a similar field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, aerospace, consumer, automotive, or similar product-focused companies or startups.
• Prior exposure to a fast-scaling startup environment is preferred.
• Strong ability to own projects end to end, from defining the problem to delivering the solution.
• Capacity to connect business goals with actionable insights through analytics and domain knowledge.
• An entrepreneurial mindset suited to a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Excel or Google Sheets, and SQL.
• Preferred exposure to machine learning, natural language processing, large language models, and related AI tools.
