Job Overview
Delpath is seeking a Data Analyst for a one-year contract position located at 40 Temperance Street, Toronto. This role involves working onsite 4 days a week, with the possibility of extension and conversion to a full-time employee. The primary focus will be on analyzing data, identifying trends, and supporting business intelligence initiatives within the banking sector. The position requires a strong understanding of data analysis tools and processes, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of business data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI and other BI tools.
- Perform data mining, profiling, cleansing, and enrichment to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Support ETL processes and contribute to data management strategies.
- Analyze unusual numbers and trends to provide explanations and recommendations.
- Utilize advanced Excel functions and other MS Office products for data manipulation and reporting.
- Work effectively with technology partners and various stakeholders.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or insights roles, preferably within the Canadian banking industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes, data mining, data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify anomalies.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Bachelor's degree in business, analytics, computer science, finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter, manage ambiguity, and maintain a high level of detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

Eligibility
