Data Analyst (Entry Level)

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career professional with 0-2 years of experience to establish a career in data, analytics, and business intelligence. You will gain practical experience utilizing modern data tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Snowflake, and Databricks. This role involves supporting critical business decisions across the organization by working closely with experienced analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders. You will learn to transform raw data into insightful dashboards, actionable recommendations, and impactful business intelligence.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support business performance reporting.
• Provide assistance with ad-hoc data analysis requests from various business units.
• Analyze sales, customer, financial, and operational data to identify trends and patterns.
• Help translate complex data findings into clear and understandable business insights.
• Support ETL/ELT data pipelines and data integration processes.
• Conduct data quality checks and troubleshoot any arising issues.
• Assist in preparing and structuring data for reporting and analytical purposes.
• Query datasets using SQL within Snowflake and/or Databricks environments.
• Support data preparation for dashboard creation and analysis.
• Contribute to improving data accessibility and reporting efficiency.
• Assist in early-stage AI and automation initiatives.
• Participate in proof-of-concept analytics and AI projects.
• Learn about the application of AI in enhancing reporting and decision-making.
• Collaborate with business teams to understand their reporting requirements.
• Partner with senior analysts on various analytics projects.
• Document data definitions and reporting procedures.
• Learn best practices in analytics, business intelligence, and data engineering.

What We're Looking For

• A Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business, or a related field.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience, including internships, co-op programs, or academic projects.
• A strong enthusiasm for data, analytics, and problem-solving.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL, or a demonstrated ability to learn it rapidly.
• Prior exposure to Excel and/or Power BI is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Python is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive learning attitude.

Nice to Have

• Previous internship or project experience in analytics or business intelligence.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with dashboarding or reporting tools.
• An interest in Artificial Intelligence, automation, or contemporary data technologies.

Additional Information

This is a full-time, permanent position located onsite in New York City.
