Education beyond the minimum may be counted toward the experience requirement if the hiring manager considers it relevant. The degree requirement is intended to ensure the quantitative, statistical, and technical background needed to work with complex datasets, conduct advanced analysis, and produce insights that guide strategy and external reporting.
Preferred Background
Preferred candidates will bring a master’s degree in business, marketing, or a closely related discipline, along with three years of experience in market research and analysis or a similar area. Helpful experience includes researching education trends, skills clustering, competencies, financial analysis, and work in higher education. Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, databases, and Microsoft Office applications like Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word is also valued.
The ideal candidate should be capable of producing clear, concise reports; understand marketing channels including digital and web-based platforms; communicate insights effectively to stakeholders; and demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, administrative, presentation, public speaking, writing, interpersonal, and independent working skills.
