Data Governance Specialist

Role overview

This Jeddah-based assignment is a yearly renewable contract for a Data Governance Specialist. The role is focused on helping an organization strengthen the way it manages data so that information is reliable, protected, well-documented, and used in a controlled manner for business decision-making.

What you will do

You will support the rollout of governance controls, standards, documentation practices, and adoption efforts. A key part of the job is to help ensure data assets have clear ownership, are properly defined and catalogued, and are managed responsibly across the business.

The position also involves building and maintaining firm policy structures, tracking data quality, and supporting compliance with relevant regulations and internal requirements. The end goal is to turn raw data into a trusted corporate asset that is secure, accessible, and dependable for confident decisions.

Experience and language requirements

This role requires more than 10 years of experience in data governance, data quality, compliance, metadata management, analytics, or project coordination. English is mandatory, and Arabic is preferred.

Education and certifications

A bachelor’s degree in Data, Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications in data governance, DAMA, data quality, privacy, or project management are considered an advantage.
