Job purposeThe role is focused on executing buy and sell transactions for fixed income schemes and reviewing stock market schemes within defined investment limits so that trades are completed at the most favorable possible price.Role context and key challengesThis position calls for active market intelligence gathering, pattern recognition, and trend analysis. The job involves tracking financial and economic indicators, assessing prevailing investment conditions, and monitoring liquidity in the banking system because it directly affects flows to the AMC. The dealer is also expected to perform yield curve analysis, manage duration actively, balance risk and reward, and continuously identify fresh trade opportunities to support fund ideas.A major part of the job is the actual execution of trade ideas developed by the team. This includes allocating across different securities, securing targeted yields within the required timeline, and working with counterparties, banks, and other financial institutions to find the best fit for the trade. Speed and accuracy are critical. In addition, the function shares market views on asset classes and recommends investment themes based on the current environment.Primary challengeThe role requires handling buy and sell transactions for equity execution at the best possible price, while ensuring that trades are sourced efficiently, processed correctly, and completed at the most competitive rate.Key responsibilitiesPlace trade orders and track bids and offers in the market to keep dealing activity running efficiently.Execute all deals and maintain continuous monitoring of broker bids, offers, price movement, and trading volume.Identify suitable broking firms for transaction execution and share timely feedback with fund managers.Support smooth functioning of systems used for deal entry and trade execution.Obtain schedule-wise trade confirmations from brokers after order completion.Work with the operations team to implement process changes in dealing transactions.Spot opportunities to improve workflows and help streamline dealing processes.Ensure all transactions are entered and updated accurately in the system.Monitor broker turnover on a periodic basis to maintain control and oversight.Stay updated on market conditions, collect information from market and other relevant sources, and pass filtered insights to fund managers.Provide market outlook across asset classes and share investment themes relevant to the prevailing environment.Maintain adherence to stock market dealing limits and regulatory requirements at all times.RequirementsStrong understanding of financial markets and market intelligence gathering.Ability to track economic indicators, liquidity conditions, and market trends.Knowledge of fixed income, equity execution, and trade handling processes.Capability to analyze yield curves, manage duration, and evaluate risk-reward trade-offs.Experience working with brokers, banks, and other financial counterparties.Attention to detail for accurate trade entry, confirmation, and compliance tracking.Ability to execute quickly while maintaining precision in a fast-moving market environment.Process orientation with a mindset for improving systems and coordination with operations teams.Additional informationThe role emphasizes disciplined compliance, timely communication with fund managers, and consistent monitoring of broker turnover and market activity.
