About the Role

Chandigarh University, Uttar Pradesh, the country’s first multidisciplinary university with AI-enabled academic practices, is looking for a seasoned and energetic leader to take charge as Dean of Students Welfare at its Lucknow campus. This position offers the chance to directly influence student life, strengthen engagement across campus, and build an environment that encourages academic achievement, personal development, and well-rounded growth.

What You’ll Do

• Direct and supervise university-wide initiatives focused on student welfare.
• Encourage active student participation, leadership growth, and a lively campus experience.
• Handle student discipline, conduct matters, and grievance resolution processes.
• Take responsibility for residence life and broader student support services.
• Set the vision for counseling, mentoring, and well-being programs.
• Work closely with Deans, Directors, faculty members, and student groups to improve the student journey.
• Help cultivate an open, energetic, and student-first campus environment.

Desired Background

The ideal candidate should bring substantial experience in student affairs, student welfare, residence life, or higher education administration, along with a strong track record in counseling, mentorship, and leadership development. The role calls for proven academic leadership, sound administrative judgment, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.

Eligibility and Education

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree or higher in Education, Counseling, Management, or a closely related field. Prior experience in a university or other higher education institution will be preferred.
