Role overview
A boutique strategy consultancy in Los Angeles is looking for an Engagement Manager to join its team. This is a strong fit for a current Strategy Manager who is ready for a new challenge in 2026 and is based in, or willing to move to, LA. The firm partners with senior clients on high-impact strategic work and is seeking someone with experience from a top-tier management consultancy.
What the role involves
In this position, you will own client engagements from end to end, guide project teams, and turn analysis into clear strategic recommendations for senior decision-makers. You will also help strengthen client relationships, support growth efforts, and contribute to the development of junior colleagues.
- Run client projects and take charge of day-to-day delivery
- Direct research, analysis, and the development of recommendations
- Communicate findings and insights to senior stakeholders
- Coach, support, and grow junior team members
- Contribute to business development initiatives
What the employer is looking for
The ideal candidate will bring 4 to 8 years of experience in consulting, strategy, advisory, or another client-facing role, and must currently hold a Manager title at a Tier 1 firm such as McKinsey, Bain, or BCG. Strong analytical thinking, structured problem-solving, and clear communication are essential, along with experience leading teams and managing projects. Experience in financial services, retail, private equity, technology, media, or telecommunications would be an advantage. An advanced degree is preferred.
