Job Overview

The Estimator will be responsible for producing precise project cost assessments, supporting competitive bids, and helping the business maintain strong pricing and commercial control across civil, fit-out, and multidisciplinary construction work.

Key Responsibilities

• Build accurate cost estimates for civil, fit-out, and multi-disciplinary construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and BOQs to calculate material, labor, and equipment needs.
• Prepare tender pricing and bidding approaches that support the company’s commercial goals.
• Work closely with procurement and planning teams to improve cost efficiency and align resources.
• Use digital estimating tools and keep cost databases current.
• Assess project risks and identify savings opportunities during tender preparation.
• Follow company procedures, contract requirements, and UAE regulatory standards.
• Create detailed cost breakdowns, cash flow projections, and value engineering suggestions.
• Track market movements, material pricing, and labor costs to preserve competitiveness.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
• MRICS or an equivalent professional certification is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in construction estimation.
• Strong understanding of material rates, labor pricing, and market conditions.
• Hands-on ability with estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical thinking and negotiation capability.
• Background in tendering for large civil and fit-out projects.
• Good knowledge of UAE construction rules and local authority procedures is mandatory.
• Ability to handle several tenders simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Capability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Understanding of value engineering and cost reduction methods.

This is a full-time, onsite role based in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
