About the Role
This position is for a procurement specialist with hands-on experience in purchasing workflows, supplier negotiation, contract support, and ERP-based operations. The role calls for solid coordination skills, commercial understanding, and the ability to keep procurement activities efficient, compliant, and aligned with project timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the full procurement cycle, including issuing RFQs and reviewing vendor quotations.
- Draft purchase orders, work orders, and assist with contract preparation and related records.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to monitor manufacturing progress and dispatch schedules.
- Track purchase orders on a daily basis to ensure deliveries are on schedule and quality expectations are met.
- Coordinate with suppliers to secure timely delivery of materials based on project needs.
- Work with Finance and Accounts teams on outstanding payments and ensure invoices are supported by complete documentation.
- Carry out market studies and pricing comparisons to aid cost control and buying decisions.
- Prepare MIS reports and maintain procurement dashboards for tracking and analysis.
- Use ERP platforms and MS Office tools for procurement coordination and reporting.
- Work with senior management and site teams to support policies, systems, and practices that strengthen employee safety and reduce business risk.
- Create, maintain, and periodically refresh the EHS Legal Register.
- Track updates in EHS regulations, assess their business impact, and suggest changes to internal standards and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate should bring 2 to 7 years of relevant experience, preferably from solar or wind energy projects. The required educational background is B.Tech or a diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE), or Mechanical Engineering.
Skills & Competencies
Strong procurement knowledge, contract handling ability, ERP usage, MIS reporting, effective communication, negotiation, stakeholder coordination, and strong command of MS Office are essential for success in this role.
