This opening is for a Financial Analyst within the Corporate Finance function. The role plays an important part in planning, forecasting, and reporting by delivering accurate analysis and clear financial insights that help leadership make better decisions and improve business performance.

What You’ll Do

• Contribute to the monthly rolling forecast cycle for operating costs, capital spending, and headcount by refreshing assumptions and keeping financial models up to date.
• Support the annual budgeting process by working with leaders across Operations, Sales, and Marketing, checking financial inputs, and combining budget submissions.
• Improve and maintain forecasting models to strengthen reporting quality and make planning more efficient.
• Build ad hoc financial analyses and scenario-based models to support business choices and operational planning.
• Conduct monthly variance reviews by comparing actual performance against budget and forecast, then explain the major drivers and business effects.
• Develop recurring financial reports, dashboards, and presentation materials for finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Track KPIs and surface patterns, risks, and opportunities across the business.
• Review operating expenses and departmental spend to support cost control efforts.
• Work closely with business leaders to understand operating performance and provide financial support for planning activities.
• Coordinate with Accounting during month-end close to help ensure financial results are complete, accurate, and properly reflected in forecasts.
• Answer finance-related questions from managers and business partners with timely, reliable analysis.
• Look for ways to streamline reporting through automation and standardization.
• Help build and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and planning templates.
• Document finance processes and keep planning assumptions current to support consistency and internal controls.
• Take part in finance system upgrades, reporting enhancements, and other ongoing improvement efforts.

Required Experience and Education

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another quantitative discipline is required.
• Between 3 and 5 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, accounting, or financial consulting is expected.

Technical and Professional Strengths

• Advanced Excel capability.
• Working knowledge of ERP platforms, preferably NetSuite.
• Exposure to EPM tools such as Anaplan or NSPB.
• Experience with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI, or the ability to query data with SQL, is a strong advantage.
• The ability to simplify complex financial topics for colleagues outside finance.
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail, especially when handling large datasets and tight month-end timelines.
• A proactive problem-solving mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-moving environment.

Compensation

California pay range: USD 70,000 to USD 110,000 per year.
