About the Role

The Handyman position is based at Avani Windhoek Hotel & Casino in Khomas, Namibia. Role Purpose

This role is responsible for keeping the property in good working order through general maintenance and repair work. The objective is to ensure that all facilities remain safe, functional, and well maintained so guests and colleagues enjoy a smooth experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out everyday maintenance and repair duties throughout the property.
• Help implement and follow preventive maintenance schedules.
• Attend quickly to repair calls and equipment failures.
• Handle basic air-conditioning upkeep, including filter cleaning and simple servicing.
• Complete plumbing fixes such as stopping leaks and replacing fittings and fixtures.
• Perform paint touch-ups and other finishing work as needed.
• Take on minor carpentry repairs and installation tasks.
• Carry out basic welding repairs when required.
• Support the collection and movement of maintenance stock and materials.
• Keep tools and equipment in good condition and maintain a tidy work area.
• Assist with additional maintenance and operational tasks as assigned.

• A versatile maintenance professional with working knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and related trades.
• Someone dependable and honest who consistently upholds professional standards.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal abilities.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license would be an added advantage.
