Iceland Foods is looking for a Home Delivery Driver in Newport. The position pays an hourly rate of £13.71 and is suited to someone who enjoys being active, working independently, and interacting with customers.

What the role involves

In this role, you will represent Iceland at the customer’s doorstep while delivering online grocery orders. The job combines driving, safe vehicle handling, customer interaction, and occasional support in store.

Main duties

• Follow safe loading procedures when placing goods into the van, including handling heavier items safely.
• Drive responsibly and follow all road safety rules and company driving standards.
• Carry out checks on the van before and during use.
• Make sure groceries reach customers in good condition.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service on every drop.
• Support the store team when extra help is needed.
• Work on your own with good time management and steady productivity.
• Be flexible with working hours, as shifts may run between 6:00am and 11:00pm.

What you should bring

• A full driving licence held for at least 3 years, with no more than 6 penalty points.
• A friendly, positive attitude and a genuine focus on customer satisfaction.
• Punctuality and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong awareness of road safety and safe driving practice.
