About the Role
The organization is looking for an HR Generalist to support day-to-day human resources work on a full-time, onsite basis in the United States. This position plays an important role in strengthening the employee experience, working closely with leaders and staff to apply HR policies, support employee relations, manage benefits administration, assist with hiring, and help ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations. The role is well suited to an HR professional who communicates clearly, works carefully, and handles confidential matters with discretion.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar discipline is preferred, though equivalent experience may be accepted.
- At least 2–5+ years of current HR experience is expected, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Professional HR credentials such as PHR or SHRM-CP are preferred.
- Solid understanding of employment law and standard HR practices is needed.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities are important.
- The candidate should be highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Must be able to manage sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS platforms, and applicant tracking systems is required; experience with Paylocity is an added advantage.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and apply HR policies and procedures in a consistent and compliant manner.
- Handle employee relations concerns, help resolve workplace conflicts, and contribute to a healthy team environment.
- Oversee benefits administration, including medical coverage, retirement programs, and leave-related policies.
- Support recruiting activities by publishing openings, reviewing applicants, participating in interviews, and guiding new hires through onboarding.
- Monitor adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations.
- Advise managers and employees on HR matters and recommended best practices.
- Keep employee files and HR records accurate and up to date using HRIS and related tools.
- Assist with performance management activities and employee development efforts.
- Take part in company initiatives that improve engagement and overall organizational effectiveness.
