Role Overview
Progressive is hiring an HSE Coordinator to oversee health, safety, and environmental compliance in demanding oil and gas field operations in the United Arab Emirates. This position focuses on maintaining safe practices across well testing, drilling, and workover activities while ensuring alignment with internal rules, client expectations, and applicable regulatory standards, including SAWCOD requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Track and uphold HSE compliance throughout well testing, drilling, and workover operations.
- Make sure work practices follow company policies, client requirements, and regulatory safety rules, including SAWCOD standards.
- Carry out safety inspections, site audits, and structured risk evaluations such as JSA, HAZID, and HAZOP.
- Help prevent incidents by spotting hazards early and driving corrective actions.
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety meetings, and onsite HSE inductions.
- Examine incidents, near misses, and unsafe behaviors, then prepare thorough reports.
- Work closely with operations teams to support safe execution of field activities.
- Keep HSE records accurate, organized, and up to date.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of HSE experience in oil and gas, ideally in well testing, drilling, or workover settings.
- NEBOSH certification or an equivalent HSE qualification is required.
- Hands-on experience with SAWCOD compliance systems is a strong plus.
- Good knowledge of international HSE standards and accepted industry practices.
- Experience working in field-based, high-risk operational environments.
- Ability to work independently and enforce safety compliance in remote locations.
