Role Overview

The Human Resources Executive will support day-to-day and strategic HR operations from the Chennai location, reporting to the GM - HR. The role focuses on end-to-end hiring, onboarding, HR administration, employee engagement, attendance tracking, and statutory compliance to help keep HR processes running efficiently.

Recruitment and Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the complete hiring cycle for different positions across the organization.
  • Find suitable candidates through job portals, consultants, employee referrals, and social media channels.
  • Review applications, arrange interviews, and coordinate the selection process.
  • Draft offer letters and support candidates through joining-related formalities.
  • Keep recruitment records updated and prepare regular hiring reports.

Onboarding and Induction

  • Oversee the full onboarding process for new employees.
  • Organize induction and orientation sessions for newly joined staff.
  • Collect and verify employee documents within the required timelines.
  • Work with different departments to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.

HR Operations and Records

  • Maintain employee files and other HR documentation.
  • Prepare letters related to appointment, confirmation, transfer, promotion, and relieving.
  • Update employee data in the HR database and HRMS system.
  • Support performance management and other ongoing HR initiatives.

Employee Engagement

  • Plan and coordinate engagement programs, celebrations, and welfare activities.
  • Support employee communication efforts and feedback collection.
  • Assist with initiatives that improve retention and motivation.

Attendance, Leave, and Payroll Coordination

  • Track daily attendance and keep attendance records current.
  • Process leave requests and maintain leave balances accurately.
  • Share attendance and leave inputs with payroll teams as required.
  • Resolve attendance-related employee queries in a timely manner.

Statutory Compliance

  • Prepare and submit labour compliance forms and records as required under applicable laws.
  • Maintain statutory registers and support adherence to labour regulations.
  • Coordinate with government officials during inspections and audits.
  • Assist in meeting all applicable labour law requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have a degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification is acceptable, and an MBA in HR or MSW is preferred. The role requires 2 to 4 years of experience in HR generalist responsibilities, with prior exposure to recruitment, engagement, attendance administration, and statutory compliance.

Skills and Competencies

This role calls for strong understanding of HR practices and labour legislation, along with excellent communication and interpersonal ability.
