Logistics Team Leader

Role overview

Arla Foods is looking for a Logistics Team Leader to support warehouse and logistics operations in Dammam. The position focuses on running day-to-day warehouse activities, maintaining stock accuracy, coordinating deliveries, and helping ensure that operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Take an active role in daily operational work, adapting to changing assignments and informing the manager promptly when issues arise.
• Follow standard warehouse procedures for inbound and outbound movements, warehouse activities, and inventory control.
• Plan and carry out the daily operational schedule accurately within the agreed guidelines.
• Manage inventory activities, goods handling, and warehouse records to support correct stock control, storage, and distribution.
• Build cooperative working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders by understanding customer needs.
• Work closely with planners, sales, and commercial operations to help ensure orders are delivered on time.
• Prepare and hand over all required delivery and route documents before trucks leave, including route plans, delivery notes, invoices, RTV documents, Bayan, Ajeer documents, and related instructions.
• Receive and manage documentation, while also handling complaints and inquiries related to sales.
• Ensure the department follows Arla Foods’ policies, standards, and the laws applicable locally.
• Support a safe, healthy, and inclusive workplace with a strong safety-first mindset.
• Promote quality and food safety in the area of responsibility.
• Oversee maintenance needs for the warehouse, machinery, material handling equipment, and trucks.
• Adopt sustainability practices and support digital transformation through data-driven decision-making.
• Develop team capabilities by coaching team members and supporting competency growth in line with leadership and character expectations.
• Take part in learning and development activities and demonstrate values-based leadership.

Requirements

• Technical education or equivalent background in logistics, warehousing, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in handling goods, preferably within food products.
• Basic understanding of warehouse machinery, equipment, and fleet usage.
• Ability to coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely maintenance of material handling equipment.
• Intermediate English and IT proficiency.
• Intermediate working knowledge of MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, and Outlook.
• Basic knowledge of Power BI.
• Basic familiarity with AI tools and concepts.
• Intermediate-level experience with SAP applications, including EWM, ERP (ECC), BW reports, and RFUI.
