Role Overview

Eye Mechanics Optometrist is seeking a full-time Optical Dispenser to join its Southwest Sydney team at either the Leppington or Gregory Hills practice. This opportunity suits someone who enjoys premium eyewear, strong client care, and working within an independent practice that combines high standards of eye care with a family-oriented culture.

The practice is grounded in clinical integrity and memorable client experiences. In this position, you will support vision correction and eye health while helping patients feel confident in the eyewear and service they receive.

What You Will Do

• Provide excellent customer service and knowledgeable support at the dispensary counter.
• Create strong, lasting rapport with clients from varied backgrounds.
• Pair patient needs with suitable premium eye care options to improve satisfaction and support sales outcomes.
• Continue building technical knowledge and practical skills in optical dispensing.
• Work closely with lens laboratories and external suppliers.
• Assist with luxury eyewear labels, including brands typically found in CBD retail settings.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative workplace.
• Help keep day-to-day practice operations running smoothly, including order management.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring optical industry experience, with retail or health-related sales experience also considered valuable. A Certificate IV in Optical Dispensing is helpful, but it is not compulsory.

You should have an eye for selecting and styling eyewear to match both personal taste and prescription requirements, along with strong communication skills. A proactive attitude toward learning, development, and self-management is important, as are sound problem-solving abilities and an authentic interest in eye health and client wellbeing.
