Role Summary

This full-time position is based on-site in Lagos State, Nigeria, within RAR Holding’s paint and coatings operations. The Paint Color Matcher is responsible for producing accurate color matches for customer samples and specifications by applying color theory, tinting formulas, and mixing tools. The role also includes checking and refining paint blends, comparing colors visually and with instruments, recording formulas, and helping ensure consistent quality and appearance across products.

Key Duties

• Match paint shades precisely to customer samples and technical requirements.
• Prepare, adjust, and blend paint mixtures using tinting formulas and mixing equipment.
• Carry out visual and instrument-based comparisons to verify color accuracy.
• Document color formulas and maintain clear records for repeat production.
• Support quality control by keeping color consistency, finish, and appearance within standard limits.
• Work closely with internal teams and follow established production procedures.
• Use basic computer tools for data entry and formula tracking, while learning company systems as needed.

Qualifications

Applicants should have a solid grasp of color theory and hands-on experience with paint color matching. Strong visual accuracy, careful attention to detail, and the ability to distinguish shades are important. Familiarity with color measurement tools is also expected. Experience in paint manufacturing, coatings, or another technical field is an advantage. A technical diploma or vocational training in chemistry, coatings technology, or a related area is helpful. The candidate should be able to follow standard procedures, keep accurate formula records, communicate effectively with colleagues, and perform well in a production setting.
