Paraplanner

Role overview

This is a full-time Paraplanner position based in Taunton, working 35 hours per week. The role is primarily remote, but you will need to attend the office one day each month. The salary is £40,000 to £48,000 per year, depending on experience, along with a benefits package.

We are seeking an experienced paraplanning professional who can work well in a fast-moving, client-centred financial planning setting. The right person will be confident, proactive, and technically strong, with a practical attitude and a commitment to producing high-quality work that supports financial advisers and improves the client experience.

Ideally, applicants should live within approximately 90 minutes of the Taunton office.

What you will do

• Coordinate with providers and internal colleagues to keep cases moving efficiently.
• Collect illustrations, documents, and other key information from provider platforms.
• Carry out detailed research and technical analysis to assist adviser recommendations.
• Prepare well-written suitability reports covering pensions, investments, and protection.
• Continue building technical knowledge through ongoing learning and training.
• Draft clear handover notes and help improve internal processes.
• Support senior paraplanners and the operations team with workflow management, mailbox handling, and change initiatives.
• Help maintain a positive, supportive, and collaborative team environment.

What we are looking for

• At least 3 years of experience in financial advice services, including a minimum of 2 years in paraplanning.
• A Diploma in Financial Planning (Level 4) is desirable.
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused approach.
• Excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage diaries effectively.
• High attention to detail, with a logical and solution-oriented mindset.
• Experience using CRM and IT systems; Intelliflo and Financial Analytics are advantageous.
• A collaborative attitude and the ability to set a positive example for others.
