Procurement Engineer

Role Overview

Anotech is seeking a Procurement Engineer for an onsite contract position in Doha, Qatar. The role focuses on managing procurement activities for technical goods and services, with an emphasis on supplier coordination, contract handling, and compliance-driven purchasing.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full procurement cycle for technical materials and services, from request to final delivery.
• Draft, review, assess, negotiate, and manage purchase orders and contract documents.
• Work closely with internal teams to plan procurement activities and keep execution on schedule.
• Handle supplier assessment, tender processes, bid comparison, and commercial discussions.
• Follow up on purchase orders to secure timely material delivery.
• Address procurement issues, supplier mismatches, and non-conformance cases.
• Keep procurement documentation and supplier information up to date in SAP.
• Make sure all procurement work follows company procedures, audit expectations, and HSE requirements.
• Contribute to process improvements and strengthen supplier relationships.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• At least 6–7+ years of procurement experience in the Oil & Gas sector.
• Background in EPC projects and/or operational procurement is needed.
• Demonstrated experience handling technical materials and service procurement.
• Practical knowledge of SAP or similar P2P ERP platforms, with SAP being compulsory.
• Strong commercial negotiation, analytical thinking, and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• Solid understanding of procurement practices, contract management, and supply chain workflows.
