Role overview

This position is for a Project Manager based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The work involves a wide variety of assignments, with each project differing in scope, site, and challenge. Safety is treated as the top priority across every phase of delivery, and the role focuses on ensuring projects are completed successfully and safely.

Key responsibilities

You will use both technical project management expertise and strong interpersonal skills to lead projects end to end. The role covers planning, communication, decision-making, coordination, and action tracking throughout the project lifecycle. You will also manage contract-related activity, risk oversight, project setup, execution, and control.

As you grow in the role, you may take on projects with greater scale and complexity. There is also scope to handle international and global assignments, with timelines that may range from a few days to several years.

Required background

The position calls for advanced project management capability, including project preparation, quality management, project structuring, planning, risk control, contracts, budgeting and finance, project execution, leadership, teamwork, communication, conflict handling, and negotiation. Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written, are essential.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a qualification in Project Management. You should also have hands-on experience with project management principles, methods, and tools.

A proven track record of 7 to 10 years as a Project Manager is required, ideally within heavy lifting, construction, renewables, oil and gas, offshore, ports, or mining. The role also requires strong leadership, the ability to guide cross-functional teams, solid financial understanding, and experience managing project budgets. Flexibility to travel and work from different project sites depending on project needs is necessary.
