Role overview

This position supports the creation, upkeep, and improvement of manufacturing and packaging processes so that product quality is consistently maintained. The role works across quality planning, incoming and outgoing checks, supplier coordination, and continuous improvement activities.

Quality planning

  • Help standardize processes by preparing work instructions, test methods, product specifications, and qualification plans.
  • Apply knowledge of BRCGS, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements and assist in putting the systems into practice.
  • As part of the food safety team, contribute to updates of hazard analysis and risk assessments.
  • Review supplier performance each month and communicate findings to suppliers.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on quality issues and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Carry out internal audits according to the audit calendar and track follow-up actions.
  • Regularly review product specifications and update quality plans, test methods, and COA templates as needed.
  • Review and refresh mold and product health reports every quarter.
  • Log customer complaints, work with internal teams to identify root causes, and ensure suitable corrective actions are implemented.
  • Prepare monthly health reports for laboratory measuring equipment.
  • Monitor calibration status and coordinate calibration work with suppliers when required.
  • Carry out migration testing and microbiological tests as needed.

Quality control

  • Support approval of products and raw materials with suppliers and maintain trial records for incoming materials.
  • Perform incoming material inspections and update records in the system.
  • Inspect approved products against the quality plan and prepare reports using laboratory equipment.
  • Issue a certificate of analysis for each batch before dispatch.
  • Conduct special or ad hoc inspections when assigned by the department head.
  • Record all incidents and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Carry out periodic microbiological swab tests in identified areas.

Quality improvement

  • Support final product quality reviews, including design reviews and customer quality checklists.
